Thanks. My original idea was a funnel, but over a day or so I came up with the idea of using the lines on a road to represent the narrowing of US wealth distribution, and I think the road idea was much more effective.
This is a GREAT visual. In David Kay Jonston's book "Perfectly Legal" he made a bar graph. The difference between the wealth gap on the top 1% needed to be six feet tall off of the page in order to be in scale with the rest of the bar graph. six FEET. The road was really powerful because the bottom 90% are literally getting run off the road.
