Thirty-one Republicans voted against the $13.6 billion aid package for Ukraine on 3/10/22. However, by 3/17/22, over two dozen of these same Republicans were demanding that President Biden do more to help Ukraine fend off Russia’s brutal aggression. Biden must do more to help Ukraine.
Republican senators Josh Hawley, Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz attacked Ketanji Brown Jackson as soft on child pornographers, (A Judge's Tough Call Meets the Politics of a Supreme Court Confirmation), an attack so deceitful it was debunked in an article in the conservative magazine, “National Review” (Senator Hawley's Disingenuous Attack against Judge Jackson's Record on Child Pornography).
On 3/23/22, NBC correspondent, Vaughn Hillyard, had a phone conversation with U.S. Representative Mo Brooks (R-Alabama), in which Brooks told Hillyard that in September, 2021, Donald Trump asked him to vote to “rescind” the 2020 election of Joe Biden. Rescind
U.S. Senator Mike Braun (R-Indiana), said on Tuesday (3/22/22) that he would be okay with having states decide whether interracial marriage is legal, and then on Wednesday after much negative backlash, he tried to walk back his statements. GOP Senator Mike Braun claims he didn't mean to say states should be able to ban interracial marriage, despite saying it multiple times.
As a continuation of her attack on Ketanji Brown Jackson, on 3/23/22, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee) tweeted, “The Constitution grants us rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness–not abortions.” Unbeknownst to Blackburn, she was actually quoting from the Declaration of Independence.
